Earthy Character

Earthy is the densest of the four. Amber, tonka, dark resin and something faintly sweet underneath — it is less a scent you wear than an atmosphere you carry into a room and leave behind in it.

It is also the family that changes most on skin. What opens sharp and almost medicinal turns warm and edible within the hour, which is why these reward being tried properly rather than sprayed onto paper.

Cold, dark evenings suit it. Worn in a Johannesburg January it can be too much; worn in July it is the reason people ask what you have on.
